MarkzTools 8 is in part a document insurance tool for QuarkXPress 8. It can convert higher versions of Quark to lower versions, salvage bad files, secure QuarkXPress content and maintain document integrity. Markzware MarkzTools 8 is an XTension for QuarkXPress that helps to prevent corrupted QuarkXPress documents. Users can verify the Saved Quark document, and be alerted if the integrity of the file is suspect. Common QuarkXPress error codes that alert the user of corrupted Quark documents are [70], [39], and [108]. MarkzTools can make Quark backwards compatible, allowing users to open higher versions of Quark documents and directly down save to Quark version 6 and version 4. Additional features of MarkzTools 8 allow users to save a temporary copy of the document before saving the original document. This feature helps prevent potential problems during the “save” process, and the temporary file can then be used for file recovery to recover the Quark document.
